How long does a digital invitation stay open?

The publication window is fixed at the moment you pay and runs for two weeks after the event. Here is why it works that way and what happens when it ends.

The short answer

Your invitation stays open for **two weeks** after the event date. That window is calculated the moment you pay, and it is not extended afterwards.

So an invitation for a wedding on 15 August stays open until the night of 29 August.

Why is it fixed at payment?

Tying the window to the event date would let anyone stretch it by pushing the date forward. So the calculation uses the date as it stands at payment, and freezes there.

That has a side effect worth saying plainly: changing the event date after payment does not extend the publication window.

Why two weeks?

An invitation has done its job before the event, but it still gets used afterwards: guests upload photos, the couple reshares the link with a thank-you note, the guest list gets checked one more time.

Two weeks covers all of that. Staying open longer would mean personal details remaining reachable for longer than they need to be.

What happens when the time is up?

The link closes and the invitation no longer opens. Your RSVPs and the uploaded memories stay in your dashboard; you can still export the list.

  • The invitation link: closes
  • The RSVP list: stays in your dashboard
  • Uploaded memories: stay in your dashboard
If there is something you want to download, the easiest time is right after the event.

What about a new event?

An expired invitation is not renewed by a second payment. You create a new invitation for the new event, so the old one keeps its details and its guest list intact.
